Processing Notes
The Orion Nebula, or M42, is a massive star-forming region located approximately 1,344 light-years away in the "sword" of the Orion constellation. It is one of the brightest nebulae in the night sky, visible to the naked eye as a fuzzy patch and revealing intricate clouds of gas and dust through a telescope. As the closest region of massive star formation to Earth, it provides astronomers with a spectacular laboratory for studying how stars and planetary systems are born.
